2/3 of a year...Yesterday

Evelyn is 8 months old!! She is currently living at her Granny and Grandpa's house in Tulsa, and I am posting some pictures from her visit. Some recent milestones and memories from her 2/3 of a year mark:
Waving bye bye (she flails her arm when we say "wave" -does that count?
Climbing up the step (with the enticement of trying to get into the cats' water bowl)
Refining her crawling, pulling up and climbing skills by trying to climb out of the bathtub and by using Grandpa and anyone else who will let her climb on them...
Her first pair of "real shoes (Thank you, Granny!) designed to support her feet well while getting into mischief by crawling, pulling up and climbing.

In other news, we are in the process of trying to purchase the on campus condo. If all of the paperwork goes through, we will be living in one of the condos in the building on the left of the "Our Castle" picture. So, pack your suitcases now to visit us soon...

Like Mother, Like Daughter

"All women become as their mothers, it is their tragedy."

Evelyn is getting very good at pulling up - and she can even sit down (somewhat) gracefully on occasion. On this occasion, we were flipping through the TV and ran into the Lawrence Welk Show (One of Kimberly's guilty pleasures), and Evelyn IMMEDIATELY crawls over to the chair, pulls herself up and begins dancing to the music - well, maybe just jumping up and down. - B

Visiting

We have been doing a lot of traveling while we are homeless. We traveled this weekend to Ft Smith, Arkansas to visit our friends Chris and Heather Carroll. We first met them when we attended their in home Bible study in Stillwater Fall 1998 - we went to their home for our second date - and went there every week for the first year we dated. Good memories...After that time, Chris and Heather began missionary training. They currently live in Laos working as teachers and living as ambassadors for our Father above. It was great to see them!

An Old Fashioned Family

I know I have always been old fashioned at heart. We celebrated Father's Day with Brian's family at Orr Family farm, and I couldn't resist getting our family picture taken when I saw they had a baby dress and bonnet for Evelyn...

First Blog

So, I guess this is it... I'm blogging - I'm not sure exactly how I feel about that. Have I just given in to technology? Does this mean I will soon own a cell phone and start texting? What would Caleb say??? - B
