We had our "big ultrasound" on Wednesday to find out if we were having a boy or girl...and we had the doctor write down in an envelope what it was without telling us in the office. We opened the envelope this evening and found out the news with some friends and neighbors present and had a cupcake party to celebrate! Enjoy!
Evelyn expressed our feelings on the matter perfectly!

New Pictures
We took Evelyn out this morning in Tulsa to have her picture made...We took four generation pictures with my Mom and Granny and got some individual shots of Evelyn. There were some stressful moments, and Evelyn really did not want to have her picture taken today! But, we managed to get some cute ones!
Evelyn was consoled after the pictures with her new favorite treat, a "lemon water." She caught Mom one evening with a Sonic cup and Evelyn asked her in her best voice "May I please have some chocolate shake?" Mom explained to her that it was water with lemon - Evelyn tried it - and now every time we are out she says "May I please have some lemon water?" My daughter likes Sonic already!
I wanted to post these pictures right away so her Dad at home can see them...We miss you Dad!

For Dad
Well, Evelyn and I are in Tulsa and she misses her Dad! Here are a few pictures...
Enjoying some corn on the cob. Her comment: "I holding both handles."

Evelyn has been asking to get her hair cut for a few weeks. We went to a kids place in Tulsa for her first hair cut (which is much cheaper than California!). She was excited until they strapped her in the chair, then she cried for the entire 1 minute and 30 seconds it took for him to wet her hair and trim it...And afterwards, she talks happily about her haircut and the pony tails he gave her afterwards... So - I think she liked it?
