Just in Case...
Just in case you tried to mail us anything at our old address...the problem with the post office has now been corrected. Even though we completed the paperwork to forward our mail, we just found out yesterday that they have been sending all of our mail back to sender with the message "moved and left no address." They say..."We're sorry ma'am - this is our fault." I say, "Is there anything we can do about it?" They say, "No. There is no way to find out what mail you have missed...But we're sorry." I guess the apology counts for something...

Earthquake practice?
Well, since we are moving to California we thought it best to be prepared. We spent the 4th of July with the Burns family. We went to the Tulsa zoo on the 5th, and Evelyn thought the earthquake machine simulator was quite fun...

Evelyn had a lot of fun at the zoo and at her Great Grandma Burns' house. She especially enjoyed playing with her cousins Brady and Alex.
Another new fun past time for Evelyn is dancing in the laundry basket. She has discovered that it is fun to scoot and bounce...and scoot and bounce....

Confusion and Delay
I'm beginning to re-think this whole blogging thing. It turns out that blogging can put quite a strain on one's marriage. You see, I enjoy taking slightly amusing stories and embellishing them a little bit for my posts. Well, it turns out that my embellishments can sometimes lead to trouble. In general, I'm trying to poke fun at myself, but it gets misinterpreted by others. So I am making a commitment to be a really useful blogger, and not cause more confusion and delay.

That being said, here's a picture of Evelyn longing to go lay in the back yard with her Nana and Papa.
After a little while, she got really desperate and attempted to eat her way through the window.
Fortunately, no windows were injured in the making of the blog.
