Happy Valentines Day!

We took our first family outing - all four of us - Valentines afternoon to an outdoor ice cream parlor. Since there are four of us - please note the extra fish in our header. Our outing was inspired by Evelyn's favorite knock knock joke:

Knock Knock
Who's there?
Banana
Banana who?
Banana split!

This joke is so funny to her, that she repeats it with milk, plate etc - all ending in split. We don't understand why it is so funny - but thought she should find out what a banana split was for a Valentine treat. We all took part in this huge banana split - all except Marianne - who slept snug in her car seat for most of the outing.

She liked it!

Marianne has a cute dimple in her right cheek - she does not show it often - but you can see it in her right cheek. We'll keep trying for a better picture.

"I've got her Mom!"

"I'm a doctor, Mom. Let me give you a check up."

We were so thankful to have Granny here last week, she went home today. We miss you!

Love at First Sight

The hospital had a policy that no one under the age of 18 is allowed to visit the hospital, for fear of H1N1...and they were strict - so Evelyn was not allowed. We were sad she could not share in that time, but it made us so excited for our home coming - to see our sweet girls together.
Evelyn begged to hold her sister the moment we walked in the door! She did a great job and was ready to carry Marianne everywhere.

Marianne did not fit in the premie outfit I had brought to bring her home! She was too big! I was glad I had brought a newborn outfit for her.

Evelyn was ready to meet her sister!

Hello Marianne!

Marianne is here!

We left for the hospital around around 1:00am this morning, got to the room at 1:45am and saw Marianne for the first time at 2:45am. You can say this about her - when she made up her mind that she was ready to be born, she did not mess about with it.

She was 7lbs 15 oz at birth, and we have decided on the middle name of "Elizabeth."

I think we will keep this post short, except for two images. We love you all thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
