A Cold Day at the Zoo

We are in Oklahoma! It was a great day to see the cats in Oklahoma City. And it is always fun to ride the escalator...

Our Friendly Beast

Last night we went to the Church Christmas party - the highlight of which was a reenactment of the story of Christ's birth, as told by the children in the Pepperdine community. Evelyn and the other children under 5 were invited to be "friendly beasts." Here is our friendly beast. She really liked walking across stage and all of the attention.

Santa Claus comes early to the west coast

And brought a Toy Kitchen - for Evelyn of course!

Yesterday we had some neighbor children over to decorate cookies and then we went caroling down our street. It was an intense afternoon (10 children in our home, including Evelyn) but we had a great time. An important question came up from one of the neighbor boys:
Young neighbor: "Are you pretty sure by now that Evelyn is a girl?"
Kim: "We are pretty sure."
Young neighbor: "But how do you know?"
Kim: "We found out the day she was born."

Pony Tail

Here is Evelyn sporting a top pony tail. While I was away in Denver, the white kitten became her comfort. My 13 and 1/2 month old is weaned - I have been replaced by a white kitten. She really likes the table and chairs that her Granny and Grandpa sent her for Christmas. They are a big hit! We will leave for Oklahoma next week - we look forward to seeing all of you!
