Stats

Marianne at 2 months:
11 lbs 5oz, 22" 50% for everything. (Evelyn was 11 lbs 6oz at 2 months)
Doctor says she looks great! She is sleeping ~ 6 hours in a stretch at night, and we just put her in her own room at night in the crib. For those of you who remember how adamant we were about putting Evelyn in her crib from the beginning - we would have loved to do that again, but our bedroom on the top floor and Marianne's crib on the bottom floor (of 3 floors) were not conducive to that at first...She holds her head well and we have a lot of cooing and smiling conversations together. She is a good baby! Marianne - we love you!

Evelyn at almost 30 months:
27lbs, 35", 25% for everything.
She loves to sing...ask questions...play Mommy...take imaginary trips to the store and to Oklahoma..."Days of Elijah"..."Shout Hallelujah"..."In Christ Alone"...If you ask her: her favorite animal is the lion and her favorite number is 5. Her favorite color is pink, purple in close 2nd, and she still is crazy about dresses. It could be 50 degrees outside and she will try to choose a sundress to wear for the day. Evelyn, you are so much fun, and we love you so much!

More Fun with Grandpa and Salvation for Willy the Wave

We had a great week with Grandpa - we miss you already and we appreciate all of your help!

Fun story: We were reading at dinner last night about Jesus being the Good Shepherd from the book of John. Evelyn gets the privilege of asking the first question after the story is finished (to see if we were paying attention) - and she asked Brian who the Good Shepherd was. Brian answered correctly, you'll be glad to know - so we asked her who Jesus took care of as a Good Shepherd. This lead to a discussion of who the sheep were - we talked about how Mommy, Daddy etc were all sheep. She then said, "And so is Willy the Wave!" We had to admit that even Willy the Wave, Pepperdine's mascot, is one of Jesus' sheep

Yesterday, we went to Travel Town museum and Evelyn was thrilled to climb on "a real train!" She had a good time...

The trains were great - and this one was in a shed "just like Thomas."

Evelyn enjoying eating a hard boiled Easter egg...

Grandpa putting Marianne to sleep...

Two great pictures of Evelyn and Grandpa just before evening playtime on the pad - I had to include both of them.

Marianne really likes her bath - she seemed to like it from the beginning. We caught a cute smile a few days ago.

And more cute pictures of Marianne...
